頑張ろう日本!Japan, we can make it!

March 19, 2011

Yes, I am very glad as the days go on that the spirit of the Japanese people, though so many lives have been forever changed, is resilient. While every society has its flaws, Japan included, I so admire the strength and determination found within the culture of Japan. The Japanese are among the most precise, dedicated people I’ve ever encountered.
You can hear this fighting spirit everywhere.

“Ganbarou Nippon!” Japan, we can make it!

This courageous sentiment is being echoed everywhere from the radio and TV announcers to signs in the grocery stores and post offices across the country. Everyone is chipping in and doing their part.

I was not planning on posting any more videos or pictures illustrating the horror of what has befallen Japan. You can see them everywhere and I want to bring hope and healing and help to the devastated lives in any way I can. I want to support and uplift people, not continually crush the fledgling fight within their spirits with gratuitous reminders of pain.

However, I came across this video on youtube and I wanted to share. The images are, again, those of gut-wrenching reality but the lyrics in the video do, indeed, highlight the strength being shown through this adversity by the Japanese. It is also a very encouraging, touching song written specifically to honor that strength and to help sustain it. I very much want to share this video.

For a list of reputable, vetted charities and ways to support the relief effort, please see the 【HELP JAPAN!】page at the top of this site. Please, donate what you can to help ease the suffering of so many innocent lives. Give generously from your heart. We are all so blessed and so let us in turn, be a blessing to others. 助けてくれてありがとうございます。Thank you for helping!

This video was very moving. The tragedy is immense, however, the words to the beautiful song were very hopeful. Thank you for sharing this with us.
