When are you going to be in Chiba? I’ll be in Tokyo the first week of August. I’m organizing a trip to Ageha August 7th. Should be good times.

Also hit me up for when you are in Kansai. I’ll be around in one city or another.

Things to do in Kansai… I think someone already mentioned Koya-san. Oku-no-in especially. Head to Himeji if you like castles. Arguably the most impressive castle remaining in Japan. Sadly it is under construction so you won’t be able to enter the inner court ( a shame because it’s really cool.)

In and around Kyoto, Fushimi-Inari taisha and Kiyomizu-dera are must see temples. For night life there’s an excellent Okinawan izakaya called A-Bar. Very friendly and social atmosphere, with a good number of college students interested in meeting foriegners. You would probably also enjoy the Kyoto International Manga Museum. I’m only casually interested in manga and I found it pretty engaging. The Arashiyama bamboo grove is also supposed to be quite serene, but I have yet to go there.

Depending when you are in Osaka, there is going to be a Cosplay party at a club just outside of Triangle Park. They have this every three months or so. Something uniquely Japanese and interesting to say the least. If nothing else, a story you can tell for years to come.

    ハイJennさん。
    It’s my turn. I know.(`・ω・´)
Is it the first week of August? 2days? I don’t know the detailed date and place where you stay in Kansai, anyway I’ll write it.
At first though you move in Kansai, there is a very convenient ticket. It’s just good to move finely.

    KANSAI THRU PASS area map
    ttp://www.surutto.com/conts/ticket/3day/img/3day_map.pdf
KANSAI THRU PASS (3days continuation or random 2day , A person living any place other than Kansai can buy it.A method to buy is slightly complicated.)
    ttp://www.surutto.com/conts/ticket/3day/index.html
KANSAI THRU PASS (random 3day ,Anyone can buy it immediately in Kansai. At the main station of the private railroad, directly from a station employee, not a ticket vendor.)
    ttp://www.surutto.com/conts/ticket/3daykansai/index.html
KANSAI THRU PASS (for the foreigner of the sightseeing purpose)
    ttp://www.surutto.com/conts/ticket/3dayeng/index.html

But, you have a 青春18切符(seisyun 18 ticket). If the number of times of the ticket remains, you can sell it in a bargain ticket shop of a town(not JR sta), even if you used it.
Therefore you don’t need to use it forcibly. The ticket has value very much. If you sell it late, the price falls. Because the ticket has the term of validity.
Probably you can sell it at a price appearing in this list.
    ttp://www.kakuyasu-ticket.com/buy/price/18.html

This may have some problems, because your cousin must buy Kansai thru pass, too.
Or do you move by your cousin’s car?
