さようなら。Sayounara. Goodbye.

March 16, 2010

August of 2004: I landed in Tampa International Airport — scared and excited.
It was my first time in Florida and I was ready to start my life as a college student.
I met so many wonderful people and I learned so many fascinating things as time blew past me, true to ways of life: hysterical, painful, liberating, difficult, connected, isolated, happy, and sad.

That’s life isn’t it?
It’s been six years. I cannot believe it.

March 2010: I am departing Orlando International Airport — scared and excited.
It is my first time going to Japan and I am ready to start my life as an English teacher.
Life will still be life there, with all of its highs and lows.
Pray for me, as I will need support and love and encouragement.
Know that I love you and that I miss you.

I’m leaving Lakeland at 3:30am, EST and will board my plane at 5:45am.
I should land in Tokyo on March 18th at 3:05pm JPN time.
I will update as soon as I am able. Until then —
さようなら。Sayounara. Goodbye.
行ってきます!I’m off! ♥

See you on Friday! Junichi is bringing some of his coworkers and we’re thinking okonomiyaki. Sound good?
